This is just a sample of some of the work that will be at the market.
I haven’t done an Offering in sometime. But fall has inspired me, the season signifying change and things coming to an end. A lot has happened this past year ; the death of loved ones, I moved , my sister moved, I walked away from a job that I had been in for seven years and a line of work I had been in for fifteen, unsure were to go artistically or to continue at all frankly. I am still undecided on that last note. So on to this mini offering, this is a slight departure as that four roses have dropped in the same area ( I the artist so can change anything I damn well please), the materials for the most part have stayed the same with the addition of a taxidermy eyes (if you would like more details about the project as a whole please go to the page “The Offering Project” on this blog for more information) were harvested* from a sculpture that was removed from the park to be recycle (It was falling apart from being exposed the elements and it was becoming a hazard). So I felt it was appropriate to give some of them back to the park. I decided to mark the places of my favorite sculptures (whether they are still there or not) at deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln MA.
* I got the okay to harvest the eyes, I don’t just go willy-nilly to sculpture parks taking apart works of art without clearing if first.

I am thrilled to announce not only would both works (One Line Tea, Camo Tea) both accepted in the 83rd Regional Exhibition of Art & Craft but One Line Tea was awarded Third Prize. I would like to thank the Fitchburg Art Museum for, as always, for putting on such a fantastic exhibition of central Mass (and southern NH) creative works. A special thank you Juror Francine Weiss, Senior Curator at the Newport Art Museum and to Nick Capasso, director of the Fitchburg Art Museum, and congratulations to all the winners and exhibiting artists for making 83rd Regional show the best yet.
