Its been a while… FAM and Davis Gallery

I have been a slacker in the media updates on this page, Instagram and Facebook I update more often so if you want more consistency in that department tis better to fallow me there but I digress…

Over the summer I was in two group shows the Fitchburg Art Museum’s 84th Regional Exhibition with Tea 4 Two wining the Sculpture Award and the Davis Art Gallery Unconventional : exploring unusual materials and process in Worcester MA. Also to get ahead of it I will be group show in November at the Sprinkler Factory in Worcester MA (more details coming soon). There are still select works available for purchase TheStore@decordova in Lincoln MA please contact them for more information and I will be replenishing stock there soon.

On the creative front…

I am trying to push myself creatively by trying new materials and exploring new mediums, I’ve been learning Stained Glass over the last six months which I enjoy and see a great deal of potential in taking my work into a new direction. That being said my work is getting larger and more complex … not a good thing, not a bad thing, its the work taking it’s natural course by evolving.

The Offering Project Update

I haven’t done an Offering in sometime. But fall has inspired me, the season signifying change and things coming to an end. A lot has happened this past year ; the death of loved ones, I moved , my sister moved, I walked away from a job that I had been in for seven years and a line of work I had been in for fifteen, unsure were to go artistically or to continue at all frankly. I am still undecided on that last note. Β So on to this mini offering, this is a slight departure as that four roses have dropped in the same area ( I the artist so can change anything I damn well please), the materials for the most part have stayed the same with the addition of a taxidermy eyes (if you would like more details about the project as a whole please go to the page “The Offering Project” on this blog for more information) were harvested* from a sculpture that was removed from the park to be recycle (It was falling apart from being exposed the elements and it was becoming a hazard). So I felt it was appropriate to give some of them back to the park. I decided to mark the places of my favorite sculptures (whether they are still there or not) at deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln MA.

* I got the okay to harvest the eyes, I don’t just go willy-nilly to sculpture parks taking apart works of art without clearing if first.
